So, it was late last night, and sometimes late at night I get in a photoshop zone…lol. I start something and it takes on a life of it’s own and I can’t even remember the steps I took to get to the finished image. I used to paint portraits of people’s horses and it was the same for me then. I would wait till everyone was asleep, put on my headphones with some inspiring music blaring, and start painting and wait for the ‘zone’ to hit me. When it did I would forget where I was and just draw something out from inside. I once did a painting from start to finish in one night……actually I’ll show you that one, I think I have a shot on my computer of it. Usually it would take me 2wks to do a painting, but this night I was in my zone. ha ha. So, anyway, I don’t get to paint now….too difficult atm. But I get the same thrill via photoshop. Sometimes, late at night I get into my zone and just go with the flow and see where it leads me. I wouldn’t tend to go this far with client photos. This kind of extreme processing is more for my fun, however I really like how this one came out………might just be me who sees it though! what do you think? This is from the Jinky workshop, I’ve finished processing all the shots I managed to get on the day. So I’ll be sending them off to Barb soon. So, here is the straight out of camera shot or SOOC.

Isn’t she gorgeous! and here is where I ended up. I think I started with by using curves and levels in photoshop. Then different blending mode layers, like Mulitply and soft light. Playing with the saturation and sponge tool. I also burned and dodged and used a texture over the top. But I can’t quite remember exactly what I did! Don’t ask me to do it again, I wouldn’t be able too I don’t think.

and here is a shot of the painting I did one night. I started with a blank piece of paper and finished in the morning with this.. this painting was of an arabian stallion called Simeon Shai. Terrible quality, wish I had better photos now.
